Cleo (aka Cleopatra)

What can you say about Queen Cleopatra, other than she IS the queen. Cleo is an unbelievable snuggler and very affectionate. She will cross anything to get to you in order to cuddle, including everything she's ever been spanked for being on. She'll look at you with complete affection, wrap herself around your arm and purr, jump down and ... walk across the table as you yell at her. And tomorrow or maybe later today she'll repeat the performance.

Cleo loves - nay - demands to open doors. Any unlocked door is fair game, if it won't open than it's good for a series of meows which loosely translated mean "Get over here and open this door for your Queen". Based on a sample size of two (Cleo and KittyCat) we have decided that Calicos are the smartest and most curious of cats. At times we lean toward the reincarnation theory but Kitty was never this much of a lover. We have gotten into the habit of leaving the rec room door unlatched (it was easier than receiving the orders from Cleo). One of her cuter little acts is that she can get into the rec room by pulling the door open, but she can't get out by pushing, unless there's no one there to do it for her. If there is someone in the room she'll give the door such dainty little shoves and then meow her orders until obeyed. Somehow if she's left in the room alone though, she always seems to get out fine. Funny thing!

Cleo also extended her realm by including Jonas as one of her subjects. Jonas had a doggy pillow in our sitting room that Cleo also liked to sleep on. If Jonas was using the pillow and Cleo wanted it, she would just bump Jonas with her head until Jonas woke up. Being the sweetheart she was, Jonas would then get up and find somewhere else to sleep and Cleo would curl up in the middle of the pillow. On a couple of occasions Jonas must have been sleeping too soundly for the head butts to wake her and Cleo finally just curled up next to her.
